HYDRABAD:

The Anti-Corruption Court Hyderabad on Thursday extended bail of the Opposition Leader in the Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh till August 19 in a case of land scam which was registered on the state's complaint by Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in Jamshoro district.

Talking to the media outside the court Sheikh said he was being framed in a case in which he purchase a piece of land in 1987. He said many other leaders and workers of PTI are also being booked in fake cases.

An ACE had arrested Sheikh on July 26 while returning from a court in Jamshoro.

Sheikh was already on bail in a case related to 60 acres of land in Jamshoro. PTI has called Hallem's arrest a "political victimization".

On July 15, SHC had restrained the ACE from taking action against Sheikh.
