40 booked for staging procession illegally

Police registered cases under the provisions of 16 MPO-188 of the Criminal Code against the accused

Cases have been registered against 40 people who organised Zuljanah processions and held Majalis allegedly without a permit.

In the case filed by Sub-Inspector Khalil Ahmed of Kotwali Police Station, it was stated that Muhammad Shahbaz, alias Gogi Baig, and fifteen people took out a Zuljanah procession in Aminpur Bazaar without a licence.

In-charge Rizwan Javed of Gulfishan Colony post had taken action for organizing processions and Majalis without a permit at the residence of Ghulam Rasool in Latif Park.

Furthermore, Zahid, Irfan, and 20 other people performed Matam in the middle of the road by placing tents without a licence and violated the law and order situation in Hajveri Town on Sargodha Road.

Moreover, Noman Ali in Dogar Basti People’s Colony and Azhar Hussain and Ghulam Rasool in 31 GB took out a procession and held Majalis without taking permission from the department concerned and violated the law and order situation.

Police registered cases under the provisions of 16 MPO-188 of the Criminal Code against the nominated and unknown accused.
