A married woman, mother of four children, died in mysterious circumstances in her house in Shah Faisal Colony No. 5. Her parents suspect it was a premeditated murder.
The woman, identified as Hina 35, wife of Muhammad Asif, returned home on Saturday after spending 15 days at her parents house in Khokhrapar, according to Manzoor Arain, SHO Shah Faisal Colony police station.
The next day, Asif called his in-laws and informed that Hina died and that he has shifted the body to cold storage. He did not explain what caused her death. This raised suspicion and the woman'a parents reported the incident to the police.
Police reached the spot, took the body into custody and shifted it to the Jinnah Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Police said that autopsy would confirm the cause of death.
Hina's parents alleged that their daughter has been murdered, but police did not make any arrests and said they have started investigations. Meanwhile, 22-year-old Mehtab, son of Abdul Wahid, was shot and injured near Charag Hotel in Landhi. He was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
Another 22-year-old man was shot and injured by unidentified men near Shoe Market in Garden. The young man, identified as Ahmad Raza, son of Ramazan, was shifted to Jinnah Hospital. According to police, both casualties occurred during robbery attempts. Further investigations are in progress.
