Weatherman forecasts more monsoon rains from Aug 6

The first system will enter from the Arabian Sea while the second from the Bay of Bengal

The a new weather system has entered Sindh, which is expected to bring in its wake light to moderate rains in the province, including Karachi, between August 6 and 9, and heavy rains with thundershowers between August 11 and 13.

The first system will enter from the Arabian Sea while the second from the Bay of Bengal. There are fears of urban flooding due to the heavy rains resulting from the second system. Sindh's rural areas and Karachi is expected to receive rains due to the two systems.

Under the first system, rains are expected in Sindh, including Karachi, and Balochistan starting August 6. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the first system is likely to bring slightly moderate and light to moderate rains.

However, the low-lying areas in various districts of Sindh, including Badin, Thatta, Sajawal, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Dadu, Jamshoro and Qamber-Shahdad Kot could face water-logging.
