A firing incident over a land dispute resulted in four people shot dead in Jhal Magsi

QUETTA:

At least four people were killed in a firing incident in Balochistan’s Jhal Magsi district on Wednesday.

Levies sources said an armed clash took place in Ghar area of the Jhal Magsi district.

Two warring groups opened fire at each other, leaving four people dead.

The bodies of the deceased were shifted to Jhal Magsi hospital. A large number of people reached the spot and started a protest against the increasing lawlessness in the area.

A contingent of Levies also reached the spot scene to bring the situation under control.

No arrest was made in connection with the firing incident.

Levies official said that firing took place over a land dispute.

In a separate incident in Quetta, armed men opened fire outside the Balochistan University on Wednesday afternoon.

Two people were injured as a result of the firing. The injured were rushed to hospital for medical treatment.

Police reached the spot and started an investigation into the incident.
