IGP, Shia Ulema review Muharram security plan

Shia scholars expressed their satisfaction with the police performance

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon presided over a high-level meeting held at the Central Police Office to review the overall security matters plan for Muharram-ul-Haram. Shia scholars from all over the province also participated in the meeting via video link and shared detailed information about the difficulties faced in Muharram-ul-Haram.

The Shia scholars expressed their satisfaction with the police performance. On the occasion, IGP Sindh directed the officers concerned to take all possible security measures and coordinate with the Shia scholars.

Meanwhile, IG Memon met Acting Governor Agha Siraj Khan Durrani on Friday at the Governor House and discussed overall law and order situation in the province.

Durrani directed the IG for recovery of Abdul Rehman Mughal, who was kidnapped from Garhi Yasin few days back, said a statement.
