KARACHI:

MQM chief Altaf Hussain has condemned religious scholars for comparing killers with their victims.

In a statement issued from London, Altaf Hussain said religious scholars who term the abduction and murder of Mohajirs a fight between two groups “are actually blaming the victims for the ongoing violence”.

He has asked the scholars to be “honest and clear” in their statements or hold their silence. He also condoled with families whose members have fallen victim to the target killers.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah says the government will hold talks with all political parties and seek their support in all domestic political and administrative affairs.

He was talking to the media after a meeting at the Governor House on maintaining peace in Karachi.

Today clerics have come up with clearer opinion and joined hands with Altaf Hussain's appeal of observing Black Day.

It apparently isn't clear to "holy men" that kidnapping is wrong and that the kidnappers are the "bad guys" --- shame.
