My ex-husband is extremely proud of me: Mahira Khan

Actor, who shares a cordial relationship with her former husband, praised him at a recent talk show

Mahira Khan has been on cloud nine with the success of her recent offering, the Fahad Mustafa-starrer, Quaid-e-Azam Zindabad. The actor, who paired up with the Jeeto Pakistan host for the first time for a project, had been occupied with the promotions of Nabeel Qureshi and Fizza Ali Meerza's film.

In a recent interview with a local channel, Mahira divulged how her ex-husband is extremely proud of her achievements. The actor, who's divorced, has often praised her former husband for being supportive. The former couple co-parents 11-year-old Azlan. Responding to a query, the Verna star shared on the show, "I'm divorced but till now, apart from my immediate family - such as my parents and my brother - there's no one else who is more proud of me than my ex-husband."

She added, "My ex-husband knows my struggles, he knows how much I wanted it. I think when people see how much you work hard for it, and he has seen me work my hardest to get where I am, he respects it. He's seen all of it."

Recently, while interacting with a fan on Instagram, the Raees star spoke about her relationship status. A fan took to the social media app and requested the actor to reject him, so he can finally move on. "Please move on," Mahira quipped. "I'm taken."

Previously, the actor took to Instagram and shared a beautiful excerpt on love on what seemed like her beau's birthday. She then went on to tag Salim Karim. Many, among Frieha Altaf, Aiman Khan, Areeba Habib, left heartfelt remarks on the same post. "My love," the Verna actor had captioned the post.

Rumours about Mahira's love life made headlines when the actor spoke about her relationship with the veteran star, Samina Peerzada on her web show in 2020. When asked by Samina whether Mahira was in love with someone special, the Verna star had smiled sheepishly and nodded her head. "Yeah, I think I am in love," Mahira smiled.
