Ten terrorists were killed in gun fights with Pakistan Army troops in Datta Khel and Mada Khel, North Waziristan tribal district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
According to the military’s media wing, four terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire in Datta Khel; weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the terrorists.
The killed terrorists had been actively involved in activities against security forces, the ISPR stated.
The North Waziristan district in K-P remains riddled with clashes between security forces and terrorists.
Six more terrorists were killed in a separate clash in Mada Khel area of the district.
Earlier, the ISPR had reported that security forces killed seven terrorists in an exchange of fire in North Waziristan.
Security personnel had recovered weapons and ammunition from the killed terrorists in the Ghulam Khan Kalle area.
The terrorists were said to have remained actively involved in several terror activities against the security forces.
Prior to that, a Pakistan Army soldier was martyred in clashes with terrorists in Miranshah as per the ISPR statement.
According to the ISPR, a terrorist – identified as Zia Ullah – was also killed during the “intense” exchange of fire, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from the terrorist.
During the clash Naik Zahid Ahmed, a 32-year-old resident of Charsadda was martyred as he fought gallantly, added the media wing.
