Social media platform Twitter has asked its employees to not publicly comment on the Elon Musk deal after the billionaire is officially trying to pull out of the $44 billion deal

On Friday afternoon, the team of Elon Musk claimed that Twitter has breached their agreement with false statements during negotiations. Musk wanted the data of the spam accounts on the platform to make an ‘independent assessment’ of the issue. However, Twitter failed to provide the details.

After Elon Musk’s official notice, Twitter has asked the employees to not publicly comment on the deal. In an internal memo obtained by The Verge, Twitter’s general counsel says “Given that this is an ongoing legal matter, you should refrain from Tweeting, Slacking, or sharing any commentary about the merger agreement. We will continue to share information when we are able, but please know we are going to be very limited on what we can share in the meantime.”

The Twitter team is trying its best to restore the deal on the agreed terms. For this reason, Twitter “plans to pursue legal action to enforce the merger agreement.”

The internal memo was circulated after different employees started tweeting humorous memes and tweets.
