An anti-corruption court has granted interim bail to former chief minister Usman Buzdar till July 16.
The former CM had appeared in the court and filed an application for interim bail. Two cases were registered against Buzdar on June 19 in Dera Ghazi Khan, accusing him of fraudulently transferring the ownership of 900 kanals of land. Three brothers and other relatives of Buzdar have been named in the cases.
The anti-corruption court ordered Buzdar to deposit surety bonds of Rs100,000.
Usman Buzdar marched from his residence to the court along with PTI workers who chaunted slogan in his favour and against the government.
"Our government gave a package of Rs740 billion and focused on the development of South Punjab in addition to establishing the South Punjab Secretariat for the convenience of the people of the region.
We have served the people and the people are with us," he added.
