ISLAMABAD:

As part of the initiative to promote the academia-industry linkages, a delegation of businessmen, led by Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Muhammad Shakeel Munir, visited HITEC University, Taxila Cantt.

The delegation visited various departments and display centres on the campus and discussed areas of collaboration with the university.

The ICCI president said, “Like developed countries that have achieved better economic growth by improving the academia-industry linkages, we also want strong collaboration to make Pakistan a progressive and prosperous country.”

He emphasised that the academia should focus on applied research and commercialisation of those research projects that would be beneficial to the industry and economy.
