WATCH: Lady doctor mercilessly beaten up by man in Bahawalpur police station

In a video clip, suspect can be seen throwing punches and slaps at the helpless woman in front of a police official

Surveillance footage of a man mercilessly beating a lady doctor at a police station in Bahawalpur went viral over social media.

In the short video clip, a man, identified as Adeel, can be seen beating a woman as she fell to the ground after being struck several times. The man continues to throw slaps and punches at the woman, who is still on the ground and trying to defend herself.

Meanwhile, a police official, coming from behind, slaps the man on his neck. Other people in the video can be seen trying to deescalate the situation as the lady doctor tries to fight back.

According to the Punjab Police, the lady doctor and her husband had a dispute for which they were asked to come to the police station. However, the woman's husband did not come and sent his cousin Adeel instead.

They said that an argument broke out between the woman and the man after which Adeel assaulted the lady doctor, adding that the man was immediately arrested and sent to prison.

The police also said that the SHO of the police station has been removed from his position as he could not stop the incident from happening.

Further investigation is underway, they added.

Alot of articles on tribune now look like english version of shaam ka akhbar Please improve the editorial standards. We already dont have that many proper english news sites from pakistan.

It is good but what if he pays some thousands or even lacs and then come back after few weeks or months If cousin can beat the wife of that manless then what that manless would be doing with her when should would be at home Why there is no other from the family or side of the Lady Doctor I mean if it is a personal or family dispute then there must be one family talking to other family for a resolution. Neither the family from man and nor the family from lady doctor side came But who came a cousin lol. The man husband would likely be a manless and also may be there are no elders in the family to solve the dispute between wife and husband and if there is no one then there is law which will hold its value and will punish the one who is responsible of wrong doing. Anyway family disputes are better to be discussed inside the four walls of home and they must never ever be discussed outside the home for the privacy of all the family members. There must always be an elder in a family who must resolve the issue related to in house matters of a family otherwise law will hold its value and will definitely punish the one who is proven of wrong doing and in all this mess privacy will be shattered as the court will ask everything clearly to punish the wrong which means the detail about personal family matters which no one wants to discuss.
