PESHAWAR:

Awami National Party President Aimal Wali Khan on Monday strongly condemned the targeted killing of four youth in North Waziristan.

In a condolence statement, he said killing of four educated youth seeking their rights was a very unfortunate and sad incident which would further increase a sense of deprivation among the people of tribal districts.

The four youth were killed when two persons riding on motorcycle opened fire on a moving car in Haiderkhel areas of Mir ali tehsil on Sunday.

He said the state had responsibility of protecting lives and property of people by arresting unidentified attackers responsible for such targeted killings incidents.

Aimal said instead of learning from our past, we are repeating the same mistakes, adding that peace activists were being killed in the name of targeted killing.

People of the area have been questioning that when the area was cleared from terrorists then who was carrying out attacks against educated people especially peace activists.

ANP Spokesperson Samar Haroon Bilour said she was extremely saddened by the senseless shooting of the four youth, adding the sufferings of the people of this area seems to have no end in sight.
