According to a police spokesperson, the body of Muhammad Amin was found on the ground on June 16 and the victim’s brother, Umar Farooq, had suspected that his brother had been killed by his wife.
Police arrested the woman, Sghra Bibi, who during the investigation told the police that she killed her husband with the help of her two sons and paramour.
Police also arrested one of the sons of the victim and a search is under way to arrest the other son and the woman’s alleged paramour. The victim's wife Sughra Bibi and his son Asad have confessed to committing the murder.
Police said that raids were being conducted to arrest the victim’s other son and the acquaintance of the accused woman. Police handed over the body to the victim's brother after a post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cybercrime wing has arrested an accused for harassing a girl by sharing her private videos and photos on WhatsApp and for coercing her to establish a sexual relationship with him.
A case has been registered against the accused for blackmailing the girl.
The authorities concerned said that Waqas Ahmed has been accused of recording and sharing objectionable pictures and videos of the girl on social media platforms such as WhatsApp. He allegedly used to blackmail her into entering a sexual relationship with the accused.
A trap raid was planned to capture the accused, and the culprit was apprehended in Islamabad by the FIA’s cybercrime team. Waqas' mobile phone was confiscated and has been sent to the laboratory for forensic analysis. Officials further said that a case had been registered against the accused on the victim's statement.
