Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Co-Chairman Asif Zardari and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid President Chaudry Shujaat Hussain reiterated their resolve on Monday to support the incumbent government and stand with each other.
President of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari visited the residence of Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain and held talks with the PML-Q leadership. During the meeting, Zardari pointed out that the PML-Q ministers were an important part of the cabinet.
“The federal government stands with the PML-Q and the PML-Q stands with the federal government,” Zardari was quoted as saying during the meeting. “Both the PML-Q federal ministers are an important part of our government,” he added.
Zardari praised Shujaat, terming him “an asset” of Pakistani politics. On the occasion, Shujaat stressed that his party stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the federal government, keeping its promise. He assured that PML-Q would continue its support.
Besides Shujaat, Chaudhry Shafi Hussain and Federal Minister Tariq Bashir Cheema were also present during the meeting. Cheema later told reporters that Zardari had come “today to congratulate us on joining the federal cabinet”.
