The Sindh High Court (SHC) has sought a reply from the Sindh government, Home Department, IG Sindh, and Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on a petition filed against the opposition leader Haleem Adil Sheikh cases.
The petitioner's counsel stated that police have recently filed many cases against Haleem Adil Sheikh. About 16 separate cases have been filed against Haleem Adil Sheikh in the two years since he became the Opposition Leader.
Many other cases have been registered against him, along with the Ghotki and Malir attacks during the election.
The petitioner said that PPP leader Saeed Ghani has also filed four different cases against him. "During the last budget session, the same thing happened. The assembly's doors had been shut. No action like this has ever been taken against Haleem Adil Sheikh. As soon as the administration changed, operations began in the federation."
The petitioner bemoaned that in the middle of the night, his sibling's house was raised. Police conducted raids at my house without warrants, Haeem added. He urged the court to declare all proceedings unlawful, malicious, and unconstitutional.
"All investigations and cases report involving Haleem Adil Sheikh should be submitted to the court. It is necessary to prevent relevant institutions from taking any action. Proceedings have been initiated as the budget approaches."
