The court of Malir Judicial Magistrate has remanded the suspects arrested in Jazlan murder case to police custody for interrogation until June 2. The court ordered the police to produce the three absconding suspects by the next hearing.
Muhammad Hasnain Faiz was doing stunts on his motorbike at a private housing society near Super Highway. Meanwhile two youth Jazlan Faisal, 20, Shah Mir Noman, 20, driving by in a car yelled at Faiz not to do stunts.
On such a trivial issue, Hasnain called in his brother, Irfan Faiz, and friends, beat up Jazlan and Shah Mir. Just as Jazlan and Shah Mir tried to get out of the melee, Irfan shot them with his father's pistol. Jazlan was hit in the head and died during treatment, while Shah Mir survived with an arm injury.
During the hearing police produced accused Hasnain Faiz and his arrested father Faiz Muhammad Khan in the court.

Police informed the court about the investigation and progress so far. The court reprimanded the investigation officer for not arresting the other nominated suspects in the case. The court ordered that the pistol used in Jazlan's murder be recovered and that the fugitive suspects including Irfan, who pulled the trigger, Ehsan and Inshal should be arrested and produced immediately.
The court reprimanded the suspects' counsel for exchange of harsh words with the complainant and paternal uncle of the victim, Imran Aslam Khan, in the Jazlan case.
The court rejected the request of the accused Hasnain's counsel for jail custody, considering the fact that he was underage. The judge remarked: "Jazlan case has become high-profile since it came in the media. How can the court order jail custody?"
