Bollywood action film KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash in the lead role has broken several records at the box office and continues to do so even at day 39 of its release. With its cinematic launch on May 14, the film has crossed over a month and yet cinemagoers keep on coming for more. The Prashant Neel directorial reigns supreme despite other popular Bollywood releases such as Thalapathy Vijay's Beast, Rajamouli's RRR amongst others clashing with it.
According to the latest reports, Yash's KGF: Chapter 2 has earned a whopping amount of INR 12.2 billion worldwide in 39 days. On Tuesday, Indian trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan took to Twitter to share that the film has grossed INR 12.21 billion at the box office worldwide.
Giving a week by week breakdown, he wrote, “KGF: Chapter 2 WW Box Office Week 1 to 5 - 1210.53 cr Week 6 Day 1 - 3.10 cr Day 2 - 3.48 cr Day 3 - 4.02 cr Total - 1221.13 cr People continue to prefer this mass entertainer despite new releases and OTT.”
KGF: Chapter 2, produced by Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles.
