Body moved to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem

Body of a fugitive criminal was found in Memon Goth in Malir. Rashid Ali Muhammad had been arrested several times and served jail time too, police said adding that it was suspected that his accomplices killed him over a dispute regarding the distribution of loot. Rashid's family had also filed a case of his disappearance last year.

As soon as the incident was reported, police and rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted the body to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for post-mortem.

SHO Memon Goth Inspector Atiq-ur-Rehman said that the victim was identified as Rashid, son of Ali Muhammad, who was about 39 years old. He was a criminal, had a criminal record, and was arrested several times in robbery and kidnapping cases.

His family had also registered a case of his disappearance at the supermarket police station last year.
