Former chief justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice (retd) Asif Saeed Khan Khosa does not have any presence on social media platforms Twitter and Facebook, said Khosa's secretary in a brief release.
"Mr Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Former Chief Justice of Pakistan, does not have, and never had, any account on Twitter or Facebook."
The press release added that any tweet or post attributed to the former chief justice is "absolutely fake".
Khosa took oath as the 26th Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) after former CJP Mian Saqib Nisar's retirement. He retired from office on December 20, 2019.
Recently, the former CJP has been selected for the Administration of Justice Excellence Award, 2022. The award is to be granted by the International Institute for Justice Excellence (IIJE) -- an international organisation based in The Hague, Netherlands.
This is done on account of Justice Asif’s “outstanding achievements and exemplary accomplishments in enhancing the administration of justice and contributions made towards independence of the judiciary, human rights ethics, access to justice, judicial education, management, court administration, legal reform, consensus-building and cooperation,” according to a statement.
