Attock police net alleged rapist, blackmailer

DPO Attock urges the people of Attock to trust the police and report any crime immediately

. City Police Station Attock arrested a man on Saturday for allegedly raping and blackmailing a schoolteacher.

According to the police, they received a complaint from a female schoolteacher stating that an accused named Aftab Ahmed had recently obtained pictures of her and started blackmailing her.

Last year in August, the accused forcibly took the abducted woman to his home, raped her at gunpoint, and made a video of her. The accused continued to do this until, upon receiving the complaint.

Attock District Police Officer (DPO) Rana Shoaib Mahmood formed a special team to arrest the accused.

During the interrogation, obscene videos and a pistol used in the incident were also recovered from the accused.

The official said that the accused has been involved in blackmailing and harassing other women too, Accused Aftab Ahmed, son of Haq Nawaz, is a resident of New Town, Attock.

He added that the accused will be brought before the courts with solid evidence and will be punished as per the law so that society can be cleansed from such vicious characters.

DPO Attock Rana Shoaib Mahmood in his message to the people of Attock said that they should trust the police and report any crime immediately.
