Tourists urged to avoid wrong, double parking

360 Traffic Wardens deployed in Murree, directed to work hard for facilitating tourists

The Tehsil Administration and City Traffic Police (CTP) of Murree are utilizing all available resources to resolve traffic issues and avoid traffic mess on the city roads as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rawalpindi Tahir Farooq urged tourists to avoid wrong and double parking to help ensure smooth flow of traffic.

A district administration spokesman said the CTP on the directives of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Noorul Amin Mengal and Regional Police Officer Rawalpindi Ashfaq Ahmed Khan, had issued a summer traffic plan for Murree to facilitate tourists and avoid traffic jams.

The 360 Traffic Wardens deployed in Murree had been directed to work hard for facilitating tourists, he added.

The CTP is implementing a special summer traffic plan devised for the tourist resort, adding that Murree was the most attractive resort for tourists and all-out efforts were being made to resolve traffic problems.

Special teams have been formed to facilitate tourists and resolve their problems, he said.

Parking of the vehicles was not being allowed outside the parking areas, he added.

He informed that single and double parking was not being allowed on roads except in designated parking places.
