Netflix began streaming 365 Days: This Day on April 27 and the critics have spoken. Though only nine reviews have been submitted to Rotten Tomatoes, they unanimously slam the erotic thriller, giving it a rare 0% ‘rotten’ rating on the review aggregator.

365 Days: This Day is a sequel to 365 Days, which made headlines last year for its sweltering scenes and problematic storyline. Starring Michele Morrone in the role of Massimo, a mafia lord, it shows him kidnaping a woman, Laura, played by Anna-Maria Sieklucka, and holding her captive on his estate, giving her a year’s time to fall in love with him.

Building on thick themes of Stockholm syndrome and romanticisng abuse in the name of love, the film had a tough time with critics. However, it was one of Netflix's biggest draws that year.

The new flick, albeit, has been bashed by the critics immensely. A Variety review has called it “piping hot trash” and Roger Ebert.com says 365 Days: This Day “is barely a movie.” It adds, “It's the emotionally bankrupt id of late capitalism, a braindead miasma of choreographed sex.”

Many on Twitter were also in fits after watching the movie. “Sorry but 365 days: This Day is f**king horrible," read a tweet. “365 Days: This Day in a nutshell: 75% sex scenes, 20% music video, 5% storyline. That's it. That's the tweet," read another. A user tweeted, “Watching 365 Days: This Day, I can’t stop laughing. It’s more like a long music video than a movie.”

The sequel takes off with a wedding, despite the first part having apparently ended with Laura's life, since Massimo's enemies went after her to get back at him. Its official synopsis reads: “Laura and Massimo are back and stronger than ever. However, Massimo's family ties and a mysterious man bidding for Laura's heart complicate the lovers' lives.”

Michele was most recently seen in a music video with Jacqueline Fernandez for the song Mud Mud Ke. Michele had spoken to Variety about the same: “I’m excited about foraying into the music space in India. It is heart-warming to be welcomed with so much love. I love challenges and Mud Mud Ke posed a challenge that excited me. I thank the people of this country for waiting for my Indian debut.”
