Woman found shot dead in Jatli

Police collected forensic evidence from the spot and transferred the body to the hospital for post-mortem

The body of a woman was found dead in the limits of Jatli area of Rawalpindi police station.

The police collected forensic evidence from the spot and transferred the body to the hospital for post-mortem. Central Police Officer (CPO) Omar Saeed Malik took notice of the incident and demanded a report from Superintendent Police (SP) Saddar Ahmed Zaneer Cheema.

The Superintendent (SP) stated that investigations were underway to identify the deceased, and whoever was responsible for the incident. He said legal action would be taken as per law.

Last month, unidentified men shot and killed a woman in a car near Soan Bridge in the limits of Morgah police station.

Police said that there were five men on two motorcycles who opened fire at the car when the woman was traveling with her husband named Zahidullah.

The suspects sped away after committing the crime. The body was shifted to Benazir Bhutto Hospital. Police said that they have registered a case against unknown men.
