ISLAMABAD:
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday directed concerned authorities to conduct a thorough probe into the blaze that engulfed two villages in the Dadu district of Sindh.
An initial report on the incident was submitted to the premier and he vowed to take strict action if negligence was the cause for the incident.
He further ordered a total of Rs10 million to be given to the heirs of the deceased as well as those injured in the incident.
PM Shehbaz told the district government to extend all possible support for the rehabilitation of the victim families.
“The whole nation shares the grief of the families who have lost their dear ones,” he said.

He also instructed the district administration to take solid measures to avert the occurrence of such incidents in the future.
As many as nine people including eight children and a woman died in the fire incident at Faiz Mohammad Daryani Chandio Goth. The village of about 120 homes was completely destroyed in the fire.
The villagers said that no fire engines were available to reach the spot and douse the flames.
Sources informed The Express Tribune that there is one fire station in Mehar Town but there are no fire tenders available. Villagers said that eight were injured in the blaze and they were rushed to hospitals in Larkana and Mehar Town.
The villagers said that they did not have enough water to control the fire by themselves.
