Two kidnapped sisters recovered

Neighbour had sold them to human traffickers

Police have recovered two kidnaped sisters from the clutches of human traffickers in a raid at a brothel in the Lines area.

L i a q a u t a b a d A S P Muhammad Usman and Liaquatabad Police Station SHO Liaquat Hayat said that one of the three arrested accused, Siddique, is a neighbour of the abducted sisters who had taken them to a brothel in the Lines area within the remits of Brigade police station.

Police tracked down the suspect with the help of mobile phone data and raided the den of Karim Bengali and rescued the two sisters. Karim Bengali, however, managed to escaped from the spot. Police said that Shumaila had filed a complaint that her two daughters aged 14 and 13 had left home in Liaquatabad at 8pm on March 7 to buy groceries but never came back.

A case of abduction of the two sisters at supermarket police station was registered by police on March 16 on complaint of mother of the girls. DIG Nasir Aftab had instructed SSP Central Rana Maroof and Investigation Police to immediately trace the abducted sisters after registering the case.

SSP Maroof said that police informers in criminal rings provided information about the suspects and the kidnapped children. Subsequently, police hauled up three suspects Siddique, Sadiq and Mumtaz.

During a visit to the interrogation room, the suspects broke down and confessed to abducting the two sisters with the intention of selling them in to prostitution. They told the police that they wanted to sell the girls and were waiting for a rich client.

Aziz | 2 years ago | Reply Shukar Alhamdolillah the children were recovered by selfless and devoted Police including I.G DIG who ambitiously worked to resolve and recover the children. Wish police of all the provinces would perform their duties with such devotion. And also the entire Network and Mafia of human traffickers should be brought to Justice. Ameen.
