Unidentified men shot and killed a man named Zamrud in Chacha in the limits of Chauntra police station on Thursday.
Police have registered a case and they are looking into the case.
According to preliminary investigation, the killing took place over personal enmity, said the police, adding that they were carrying out raids to arrest the culprits.
Earlier in the day, police arrested the man who strangled his two-year-old daughter to death at his house within the jurisdiction of Naseerabad police station on Wednesday.
A case was registered against the suspect named Gulab Shah on the mother’s complaint, said the police.

CPO Omar Saeed Malik t ook notice of the incident and directed officials concerned to arrest the suspect immediately.
The woman told the police that Shah didn’t work and she was the one who worked as a maid to make both ends meet.
Police said that they still don’t know why Shah killed his minor daughter, but they have started interrogating the suspect and looking into the case in the light of the postmortem report. Police are looking into the case from a different angle, they said, adding that the accused will be challaned and presented before the court with solid evidence.
Police said that a fully investigated challan will be presented to get the killer father punished by court.
