Woman allegedly raped by intruders

Police arrested main suspect, began search for other two accused

A woman was raped while a six-year-old girl thwarted her rape attempt by calling for help on Wednesday. According to the police report, in the case registered by the victim, a resident of Juranwala Road, it has been stated that she returned from a funeral and went to sleep.

Three armed accused, including Saleem, allegedly broke into the house and forced the victim into a room, where Saleem allegedly raped her while his two unidentified accomplices kept watch. Police arrested Saleem and began searching for the other two accused.

Meanwhile, a six-year-old daughter of Kamran Shehzad, a resident of Maqsoodabad area of Samanabad, was seduced and by Muhammad Ashfaq alias Malik, while going to him for tuitions. The girl thwarted the attempted rape by making noise and drawing attention.
