Frere police arrested six suspects involved in the murder of two people during a brawl and recovered, knives, iron rods and other items from them.
The arrested suspects include Muhammad Khan, Arshad Khan, Yasin, Sanaullah, Amjad and Akbar Ali.
The victims and the suspects worked as janitors and car washes in the apartment. A day before the incident, there was a quarrel among the victims and the suspects which was settled by the apartment union.
According to SHO Frere Waqar Tanoli, on April 8, shortly before the iftar, two groups of watchmen got into a quarrel at the Paradise Residency Apartment over putting charpoys, on which the two groups started hitting each other with sticks. During this time the parking lot of the apartment block looked like a battlefield.

Six people including Asad Ali and Imdad Hussain were injured during the altercation. The other group fled the scene. The injured were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where doctors pronounced Asad Ali and Imdad Hussain dead on arrival while treatment of other injured persons was started. The victims were residents of Sindh.
The SHO further said that police located the suspects with the help of the location of their mobile phone numbers. Subsequently, police raided the houses of the relatives of the suspects and arrested them.
