Anti-dengue efforts bolstered

Campaign in full swing in all districts of South Punjab

The South Punjab Health Department intensified its efforts to eradicate dengue in the province.

On the special instructions of Secretary Health South Punjab, Tanveer Iqbal Tabassum, the ongoing anti-dengue campaign was intensified, to ensure implementation of Dengue SOPs and serving notices to private enterprises upon finding dengue larvae. According to details, the Anti-dengue campaign is in full swing in all districts of South Punjab. Yesterday, Regional Director CDC, Dr Attaur Rehman, inspected various hotels, restaurants, public parks and other private offices and places in Multan.

Meanwhile, a notice was issued to office management on finding dengue larvae. Similarly in Bahawalpur, action was taken under the Anti-Dengue Act for not improving the sanitation situation at various places. Dr Attaur Rehman said that Secretary Tabassum is urging an effective anti-dengue campaign.
