Man allegedly kills first wife, sister-in-law

Suspect’s wives quarrelled with each other which reportedly became cause of murders

A man shot dead his wife and sister-in-law over a domestic dispute and escaped.

Police shifted the bodies of the victims to the hospital for postmortem and started searching for the accused.

According to the police report, 45-year-old Naeem, a resident of suburban village Chak No. 273 GB Anwana, was married to 33-year-old Kanwal Bibi. Later, he got married for the second time.

On Thursday, accused Naeem's second wife's sister, 18-year-old Sawira Riaz, daughter of Riaz Ahmed, a resident of City Juranwala, visited his house at 273 GB to see her sister where there erupted a fight between the two wives.

Naeem Ahmed forbade them from fighting, but when they did not stop, the accused got so angry that he shot his first wife Kanwal Bibi and the sister of his second wife Sawira Riaz with a 30 bore pistol.

They died on their way to the hospital.

Upon receiving the information, police rushed to the spot, had the postmortem done and started conducting raids to find the accused, Naeem. Last year in June, a man allegedly beat his wife and daughter to death over a petty dispute in Tandlianwala.

Reportedly, after not getting Rs500, the deranged man beat his wife and daughter to death with a stick. Police handed over the bodies to the relatives after postmortem and arrested the suspect after registering a case against him.

According to the police report, Saleem, son of Wariam, a resident of Gulshan-e-Rehman Colony on the outskirts of Tandlianwala, demanded Rs500 from his wife, 42-year-old Farzana Bibi.

The suspect’s wife refused to give him the money.

In a fit of rage, Saleem started beating his wife with a stick he found lying in the house.

The suspect allegedly hit her on the head multiple times.

Meanwhile, the 18-year-old daughter of the suspect, Umm-e-Kulsoom, came to save her mother. She managed to stop the physical assault but the suspect then started hitting her on the head with the stick.

As a result, the suspect’s daughter died of her injuries on the spot while his wife was rushed to the Civil Hospital in a critical condition. Farzana breathed her last in the hospital.

Tandlianwala City Police Station SHO Omar Sarfraz Warraich reached the spot on information and handed over the bodies of the woman and her daughter to the heirs after postmortem.

On the complaint of Farzana's other daughter, Kausar Parveen, wife of Muhammad Aslam, a case was registered against the suspect under Section 302 of PPC.

Police conducted raids in various areas of the city and arrested the alleged murderer.

Police officials said that during initial investigation, the suspect had confessed to killing his wife and daughter due to a domestic quarrel.

Separately, 15-year-old Ghulam Rasool, the son of Akhtar, was beaten to death by six suspects including Akbar and Faisal, residents of Chak No 113GB, during a fight in Chak No 113GB.

The teenage boy was pushed by the suspects, due to which he fell on the ground and fainted. He was shifted to Civil Hospital where he died of his injuries.

Police reached the spot and took the body into custody. A case was registered against the fugitives under Section 302 PPC.

According to the police report, the victim was a heart patient and he fell to his death after being pushed by the suspects.

Police handed over the body to the family of the deceased after postmortem and registered a case against the suspects. The police also started raids to arrest them.
