LAHORE:

Punjab Energy Minister Dr Akhtar Malik has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is the only hope for a bright future of Pakistan and his huge rally on Sunday had turned the tide on the hopes of his opponents.

“Together with Prime Minister Imran Khan, we will fight every internal and external conspiracy and thwart the no-confidence motion with the support and prayers of the nation,” he asserted in a statement.

The minister said the world was appreciating Pakistan’s measures against the coronavirus pandemic. He said the Mohmand and Basha dams were nearing completion, which would help in production of cheap electricity.

The revival of the Reko Diq project and foreign investment in it is a great achievement of the government that has also saved billions of rupees in a gas deal.

Dr Malik said that as compared to 2013, the present government had saved millions of rupees per kilometre in construction of roads.
