LAHORE:

A suspected contract killer involved in the gruesome murder of a three-month-old baby girl and her parents in Chung a few weeks back at their home has been killed in a police encounter.

The couple had been found slit-throat while handcuffed from back in two separate washrooms and the three-month-old girl at the bed.

Reportedly, a team of CIA (Anti-Organised Crime Cell) had been escorting him to a place for identification purposes when his accomplices intercepted the party near Jubilee Town in Chung. Police said that the suspects opened fire on police to release their accomplice from custody.

However, in exchange for firing the suspect was killed. He has been identified as Ashiq Kasai.

Reportedly, the suspect had taken an amount of Rs 1 million to murder Advocate Amanat Ali, his wife and his three-month-old daughter from his brother Muhammad Amin.

The FIR statement had also mentioned the prime suspect Ameen asking Ashiq to strangle three months old girl.

The investigations revealed that Muhammad Amin had transported Ashiq and other accused persons to the house in a car and on a motorcycle on the pretext of congratulating the couple for their marriage anniversary.

Amin had developed contact with Ashiq at the jail. Reportedly, initially, Amanat had pursued the murder case of his father. However, he forgave Ameen when his mother pleaded innocence for his son.

The investigations had also revealed that Amanat had left millions of rupees worth of property. Besides working as a professional lawyer, he was also a successful businessman. He would financially support his family including his, his family and his father's killer-his elder brother, Muhammad Amin. Amanat himself had helped him secure bail in their father's murder case.
