Functions were held across Balochistan to mark the historic Pakistan Day on Wednesday. Colorful functions were held in Quetta, Gwadar, Turbat, Khuzdar, Pishin, Chaman and other parts of Balochisttan to mark the historic day.

Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha also conferred presidential and excellence awards on different personalities at a function in the Governor House.

Provincial ministers, inspector general Frontier Corps North, Major General Muhammad Yousaf Majoka, Inspector General of Police Mohsin Hassan Butt and other high-level officials attended the ceremony.

Five personalities including ex-Senator and social worker Roshan Khurshid Brocha, Dr Fazal Khaliq, Nargis Hamidullah Hazara, Azmat Hassan Baloch and Sajjad Ahmed received presidential awards for their outstanding performance in various fields. Whereas, Abdul Raziq, Nisar Ahmed, Sabir Ali, Dr Barkat Shah Kakar, Isar Hussain Zauq, Assistant Professor Hussain Bakhsh Sajid, Muhammad Akbar Naseem, Ataur Rehman Khilji, Dr Sajida Noorin and Professor Dr Khalid Mahmood Khattak were awarded with excellence awards.
