PM orders action against campaign targeting institutions

FIA cybercrime wing given the task to hold involved elements accountable

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday took notice of the social media campaign against institutions and officers, and directed to bring the culprits to book.

According to Express News, a meeting of the ruling party’s leaders was held under the chairmanship of the premier, during which the ongoing social media campaign against institutions and officials was discussed.

The report said that the premier took notice of the campaign and directed strict action against the elements involved in it.

It also added that the cybercrime wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has also been directed to take action against those spearheading the campaign.

A report on the campaign was presented to the prime minister during the meeting.
