Star couple Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza recently made an appearance on Aagha Ali and Hina Altaf’s The Couple Show. When asked about the first time the duo met, Mirza said, “It was in Delhi in 2004 when Shoaib was touring India with the Pakistan cricket team. But it was a casual meeting, where we were just introduced to each other. We actually started talking in 2009 when we met in Australia.”
She then weighed in on what made her fall for Malik. “What really drew me towards him was his simplicity. It was refreshing to see. You often come across many cricketers with bigger heads than they should have.” Following this, Malik spoke about how he instantly saw a connection between him and Mirza and found her to be beautiful inside and out. The couple then revealed that they tied the knot after four months of dating.
Speaking about their son, Mirza revealed parenting is challenging and that they often need to work around their schedules to make sure one of them is at least with Izhaan. “Parents should never fight in front of their children,” said Malik. Mirza mentioned Malik often helps her with household chores, adding his worst habit is that he is too patient.
During the rapid-fire round, Ali asked Shaoib about his favourite Pakistani actress, to which the cricketer named Hania Aamir. When asked who he would like to romance on-screen, Malik stated that he would prefer Ushna Shah and mentioned that she is a close friend.
