Unidentified armed robbers looted jewellery, cash, prize bonds and valuables during a robbery at a Karachi University employee’s house in Zaman Town area of Korangi.
Meanwhile, CCTV footage of the incident of snatching Rs600,000 from a citizen near Nagan Chowrangi has surfaced. The armed suspects committed the robbery in just 15 seconds and fled.
The rising incidents of street crimes in Korangi district could not be brought under control as armed robbers have started committing the crime during broad daylight.
During a robbery at the home of a Karachi University employee in the Zaman Town police jurisdiction, three unidentified suspects, riding on two motorcycles, took the family members hostage in the house and looted jewellery, cash, prize bonds and valuables before making an escape.
The CCTV footage of the incident showed that three suspects on two motorcycles entered the house. The owner of the house, Safiullah, said that the suspects took an innocent girl hostage who had returned from school.

The armed suspects were dressed in pants and shirts and were wearing masks to conceal their identities. One of the suspects was carrying a school bag which contained the stolen goods.
When contacted, Zaman Town police said that the incident took place at about 2.00pm on Monday. Police have registered a case and started searching for the suspects.
On the other hand, CCTV footage of robbers snatching away Rs600,000 from a citizen near Nagan Chowrangi area of Central district also came to light. The footage shows four suspects on two motorcycles.
