Busted: Man arrested on murder charges

RAWALPINDI: The police arrested a man on charges of murdering his relative and recovered the victim’s body from Mangla area on Wednesday. Muhammad Tanvir, a resident of Latwal Syedan, had lodged a report with the police that his brother Ismail had gone missing. He had left the house along with Rs50,000 cash and a cell phone and did not return. When they tried to contact him on his cell phone, it was switched off.  After search, they came to know that he had gone with a relative. When they inquired from the man about Ismail he expressed ignorance about the victim. However, the police took him into custody, on suspicion and quizzed him. During investigation the suspected murderer confessed to have killed Ismail and threw his body in Mangla area. The police visited the area and recovered the body.
