LAHORE:

Over 25 members of the national and Punjab assemblies called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and expressed their complete confidence in his and Prime Minister Imran Khan's leadership.

Speaking during meetings held against the backdrop of the opposition's move of submitting a no-confidence motion against the prime minister, the parliamentarians emphasised the ruling PTI's planned public meeting at D-Chowk in Islamabad would prove to be a game changer. They asserted that the opposition parties would be left with no role in the future politics.

Those who called on Chief Minister Buzdar included Members of National Assembly (MNAs) Andleeb Abbas, Alia Hamza Malik, Seemi Bokhari, Dr Nosheen Hamid, Rubina Jameel, Rukhsana Naveed and Shanila Roth, PML-N MPA Faisal Niazi, MNAs Rahat Amanullah, Malik Muhammad Ihsan Ullah Tiwana, Tahir Sadiq, Pir Zahoor Qureshi, Orangzeb Khichi, provincial ministers Mian Mahmoodur Rasheed, Mian Aslam Iqbal, Hashim Jawan Bakht, Hamid Yar Hiraj, Jahanzeb Khichi, MPAs Mamoon Tarar, Samiullah Chaudhry and others.

The women MNAs, PML-N MPA, provincial ministers and other national and provincial assembly members reportedly expressed their complete trust in the leadership of PM Imran Khan and Chief Minister Buzdar.

The chief minister remarked that PM Imran Khan had given a new direction to politics. He claimed that the opposition parties uniting for attaining power would soon be fighting with one another. “We are not afraid of any step taken by the opposition, rather are united and focused,” he stressed.

He said the country had been set on the road to sustainable economic prosperity.

The chief minister underscored that those creating political anarchy would soon disperse.

He claimed that the opposition had lost its credibility because of its undemocratic designs.
