LAHORE:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s special prosecutor, who has recently been appointed to fight legal battle against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz, vowed challenging the conduct if assemblies are dissolved.

Judicial Activism Panel (JAP), an NGO being headed by the law expert advocate Supreme Court Azhar Siddique, after a meeting with JAP’s executive members, said the democracy should not be derailed. He added the present regime should complete its tenure for the sake of the country’s betterment.

“If no trust move gets succeeded and the new prime minister, after obtaining vote of confidence, advised the president of Pakistan to dissolve the assemblies, then they will challenge this conduct in court,” he added.
