With a zillion different website signups and subscriptions, each with different and strong passwords, it can become tedious to remember each, without having to click on the 'forgot my password link. Password managers have made it convenient and secure for users, to ensure all their passwords are saved in one place, even if they happen to forget one of the login details for a website.

Most good password manager apps requires paid subscriptions for a simple service, so here's a list of the best free password managers of 2022 that you can try.

MYKI

This password manager app will sync all your credentials across all of your devices securely, which does not require encrypted cloud storage, but instead, syncs your password via end-to-end encryption using relay servers. The credentials data is downloaded offline on your devices conveniently.

All of the core features of the app are available for free, only asking for a paid subscription for added cosmetic functions. The application offers browser extensions, one-click authentication, including a two-factor authentication service, and a password strength report. However, the form-filling works only on desktop versions, offering no security dashboard for desktop and Ununiformity of information available across all devices.

LogMeOnce

The free manager application has no limit on the number of saved passwords or the number of devices used. While there may be ads on the login page, and many features that are only available to premium subscribers, it has secure wallet fills including credit card data and card images. The application syncs across all Softwares and offers a variety of options for authentication, except the Sim-based two-factor authentication which is a paid feature.

bitwarden

The open-source password manager will not compel you to move to a paid tier of the app providing you with limited features. The free version will not restrict you to certain a number of enteries nor syncing your data across all your devices. The paid version provides additional high-end security and sharing options, but gives limited encrypted storage space by default and has trouble sometimes automatically capturing and filling credentials on some sites.

Bitwarden has an affordable premium tier plan while also supporting multi-factor authentication. However, it only offers 1GB of storage space to paid premium users by default.

NordPass

NordPass is a streamlined convenient password management service, allowing you access to your data on your phone, desktop, or even on the web. Key features of the app include a Data breach scanner, password health report, password inheritance option, and web vault. The service supports sharing permissions and folders, giving you access to muti-factor authentication for business accounts. However, this app cannot be used on multiple devices if you're using the free version nor can you share items from your vault, and the premium version is much pricier than other password management services. Many of the key features of NordPass are only available is you've subscribed to their premium service.

KeepPassXC

The open-source software is completely free, accepting donations from it users should they wish to contribute. The software works on all deices, Android, MacOS, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, etc. Endorsed by Electric Frontier Foundation, this password manager does'nt have its own cloud storage or mobile apps. You will need to store your encrypted data on a third-party cloud service. The service is recommended for experienced and advanced users, who will have no trouble navigating themselves around the software.

RoboForm

Launched in 2000 as a browser tool to fill in forms on websites, this has developed into a good password manager, efficienctly and securely storing your ogin data across all devices. This app can store credit card numbers, notes, personal details like phone number and home address, web bookmarks and contacts. This affordable and reliable password manager is recommended for those who fill out a lot of forms, while it lacks a USB security key. RoboForm offers two-factor authentication but lets users keep weak master passwords with few letters and special characters. The software also lets you add an emergency contact who can help you regain your account if you forget or lose your password.
