Eight vehicles impounded for illegal parking in Pindi

City Traffic Police issue fine tickets to 30 vehicles

Rawalpindi City Traffic Police (CTP) during a crackdown on illegal parking and impounded eight vehicles and issued challan tickets to 30 vehicles on the spot.

In-charge Traffic Murree Road Circle Malik Amir Mushtaq along with his team carried out the crackdown against vehicles obstructing traffic flow at Glass Factory and on Shamsabad Road. The business community and residents of the area assured the traffic of all kinds of cooperation.

Chief Traffic Officer Rawalpindi Naveed Irshad issued instructions to the traffic police to continue operations on a regular basis to ensure the uninterrupted flow of traffic.

He said that road users face difficulties due to wrong parking and illegal encroachments. Strict action will be taken against illegally parked vehicles and encroachments so that the road users and shoppers did not have to face any hassle.

He further said that the focus of traffic police was on the implementation of road traffic rules, road safety education and efficient flow of traffic. Challans are being issued to motorists for violating traffic rules, he said.
