Int’l conference on product research held

A two-day international conference, titled ‘First International Conference on General Chemistry; From Fundamentals to Applications’, was inaugurated in COMSATS University Islamabad (CUI) on Thursday.

The event is being jointly organised by Karakoram International University (KIU), Gilgit-Baltistan and Department of Chemistry CUI Islamabad Campus. Federal Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz inaugurated the conference.

While welcoming the participants of the conference, CUI Rector Professor Dr Muhammad Tabassum Afzal called on researchers to focus on local problems and engage in product-oriented research.

Meanwhile, Faraz said that Pakistan needed to diversify its export basket.
