Lahore Qalandars on Sunday defeated Karachi Kings at the National Stadium by six wickets. Given the rivalry between the two cities, it was one of the most anticipated matches of the league and was sold out immediately.
The hype started building way before the match even started and fans even claimed it to feel equally as tense as a “Pakistan v India match.”

With Shaheen Shah Afridi and Babar Azam facing each other, the match had to be an iconic one. However, it was Fakhar Zaman, with his first-ever century in PSL, who prompted Lahore Qalandars to a shining victory!
Lahore’s performance in the previous editions of PSL hasn’t been remarkable, and it has mostly been a “joke” in the league. However, it seems the tables have finally turned this year.
While the match was disappointing and equally surprising for fans of both teams, Pakistanis took to Twitter to express their excitement and frustrations throughout and as expected, there was a meme war as well.
