The environmental protection agency and the regional transport authority while conducting operations against smoke-emitting vehicles, brick kilns, emitting factories have sealed a total of 11 kilns and eight factories and seized 56 vehicles across Rawalpindi district.
The authorities also issued red notices to four brick kilns, owners of 23 vehicles and seven factories.
Authorities have issued warnings that no smoke-emitting vehicle, factory or brick kiln will be allowed to operate. They said that brick kilns that have not opted for zigzag technology or have zigzag technology just for display will be sealed in the future.
