The Sandbox game will partner up with Warner Music Group (WMG) to create their very first music-themed virtual world which would feature as a venue for live concert performances and a theme park. The Warner Music Group LAND will include WMG's leading roster of artists.

Entering into the NFT metaverse for the first time, WMG is one of the biggest music companies featuring artists and labels like Elektra and Warner Records. The new immersive experience will help fans engage with their favorite artists while connecting the global community together.

To inaugurate the occasion, The Sandbox will hold a LAND sale in March 2022 that will let music enthusiasts and fans buy properties next to or close to the WMG property. According to Oana Ruxandra, Chief Digital Officer & EVP at WMG, says "As a first-mover, Warner Music has secured the equivalent of beachfront property in the metaverse. On the LAND, we'll develop persistent, immersive social music experiences that defy real-world limitations and allow our artists and their fans to engage like never before.”

COO and Co-founder of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget says that the "strategic partnership with Warner Music Group brings the open metaverse one step forward in the direction of fan-owned and community-driven initiatives – the possibilities are very exciting.”
