The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) rescued eight fishermen on Sunday who were stranded in the sea near Ormara.
“The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre Pakistan had received a distress call from the crew of a fishing boat, known as Rehman Baba”, PMSA spokesperson said. “A fisherman on the phone informed about an engine fault in the boat and requested for help.”
The spokesperson added that the boat was stranded in the sea due to rough and stormy weather. A fast response boat was sent to the reported place to rescue stranded fishermen and fishing boat.
The PMSA boat towed the boat to safety at Ormara Jetty. The boat’s crew members were given first-aid and food at Ormara Base.
