The Punjab Highways Patrol (PHP) arrested a robber wanted to police in seven different cases from Vehari and recovered weapons from him on Friday.

Reportedly, the PHP Patrolling post Dakota district Vehari arrested a suspicious man during the routine patrol and recovered illegal weapons from him.

The arrested suspect was later identified as Abid Hussain, who was wanted to police in seven different cases of robbery in Vehari district.

The suspected criminal has been handed over to Tiba Sultanpur police station, and a case was registered against him.

A PHP official said a strict action was taken against the suspected criminals travelling on highways. The official said that public safety and protection of their properties are the top priorities of PHP.
