Police detain three in arms recovery case

Rusted weapons were found buried at a warehouse in Napier area

The Napier Investigation Police have arrested three persons in connection with recovery of weapons during excavation in a warehouse in Lee Market.

The suspects had acquired the warehouse on rent at different times.

On Friday night, the Central district police team, led by SSP Central, found a large quantity of rusty weapons hidden in the ground during a search of a warehouse in the Napier area.

The Napier Investigation police have arrested three persons - Saleem, Shafiq and Faizan. According to the Napier Investigation Police, the arrested persons had acquired the warehouse on rent at different times.

He further said that Shafiq had acquired the warehouse on rent from Saleem four years ago. At present, Faizan is managing the warehouse. He said that after obtaining their remand, investigation will be carried out regarding the weapons recovered from the warehouse. Former warehouse employees will also be called for investigation.
